Latest Beat Report

PolicewomanJune 2010

Speed enforcement:  unfortunately, again, in the last month there has been no speed enforcement on my beat, just not enough time.  However, I have two days set aside in July to carry out speed enforcement on my beat.

ASB:  We are continuing to receive calls re the new estate.  It has been identified that it is only a small number of youths involved and the issue is being dealt with.

In relation to Bramley Green Road, and the cul de sac at the beginning of the road.  Several young motorists have been spoken to in relation to noise and litter.  I have seen no evidence of litter after they have gone and recently have received no calls in relation to this area.

Play areas – we have only received a couple of calls in recent weeks.

Please continue to report any incidents to 101.

Litter:  I was hoping that an article would have been published in the parish magazines this month, from the council re the problem and how it can be dealt with.  I haven’t heard back from them to date and hope that we can achieve something for the next issue.  Please report any issues of litter and fly tipping to 101, in order that all relevant agencies are aware of the issue.

In relation to crimes over the last four weeks, outbuilding burglaries are still occurring and to date we have been unsuccessful in identifying any offenders.

There have been a few vehicle crimes, but not whilst parked at pubs, hotels or beauty spots.  We have had no incidents at those locations for two months now.

There have been four incidents of theft, two relating to garden and two to building materials.

NHW:  We are in the process of setting up twp more schemes, one in Sherfield and one in Bramley.  If anyone is interested in setting up a scheme in their road / area please let me know.
