Conservation Area and SSSI

In recognition of the special architectural and historic interest of the village, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council designated the Silchester Conservation Area in 1992.

A Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) covers Lord’s Wood and most of Silchester Common.
