Playground Association

Silchester Playground is maintained by a registered charity: the Silchester Playground Association, aided by a large number of local people who check the playground daily to ensure that it is safe and litter-free. 

As well as maintaining the existing equipment, the Playground Association is currently fund raising to provide some new equipment for the playground.  We would like to provide a separate area for toddlers, with a smaller climbing frame, and the existing cradle swings, and some new swings for older children.  We would also like to provide something outside the playground for older children – possibly a surfaced ball play area so they could make some use of the basketball hoop.
